CHESTNUT TREE Under the spreading chestnut tree the village smith, he stands. That's about all I can remember from that poem. Or...Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Now I've really exhausted my poetics regarding chestnuts. I just like chestnuts, don't know why. They always seemed like one of the royalty of trees. This one has a grandeur to it.
