LADDERS This is another free-standing sculpture that is slightly kinetic. Walk by it quickly, turn on the A/C and it wakes up a bit to greet you because the tall pieces are mounted on stalks which move in the breeze. The ladder theme is something that evolved very early for me...not sure why. I found myself making scores of intricate ladders with little Escher-like figures walking up and down them, defying gravity. It's a worthy piece if you are collecting art.
