STUDY IN TEXTURES for our Art Book: A Passion for Metal When we were approached by Schiffer Publishing for our first art book with them, I created this panel for them as a possible background for the cover of the book. I was happy with it. Pamela was happy with it, but the powers that be had other, more traditional ideas for the cover. If you look elsewhere on this page, you'll see a small window that mentions kitchen cabinets...and kitchen cabinet doors. We displayed our copper doors on that page. But just imagine if you invested a bit more time and had hammered and patinaed doors the likes of which no one on the planet has ever seen before. It takes a very special kind of person to see the amazing potential here. For warm and friendly materials, it's really hard to beat good ole copper that's been highly manipulated.
