BISHOP TAKES DOG The long version of our name for this piece is, "Knight takes Bishop....Bishop takes Dog" which is a clever attempt to to key in to chess terminology. This is one of the few sculptures where the pieces dictated where they wanted to go. It became a process of holding up a piece and thinking, "no...no...no.... Yup, that's where it goes!" If you look closely, you'll see that the somewhat somber Bishop is gazing down at a rather irreverent dog, who is also dressed for battle. There's a story here...but it's for you to interpret.
