THE JUDGES There's a chapter in our new book, A Universe of Metal Sculpture, that discusses The Judges in great detail. Having said that, I've always felt that analyzing art is a bit like diagramming what makes a joke funny. By the time you're finished, the joke isn't all that funny anymore. Best to taste it visually, the way you'd taste a nice serving of fettucine, and then decide whether you like it...or not. This sculpture is simple, and that's the point. With a maximum of simplicity, I've tried to give each judge his own attitude, his own character. If you have someone in your life who has a foot in the door with the legal profession, consider this one!
