SUGAR PLUM CASTLE Of all the sculptures I've ever created...ever...this one was by far the most difficult to shoot. I had a distinct goal when I created it. I was looking for something extremely delicate and ephemeral. There are layer upon layer of nearly transparent panels, treated to look like the most exotic stained glass. I created them with the idea of looking through layer upon layer, so that each panel would have an effect on the other. My expensive Japanese camera didn't understand what was going on at all. The end result is pretty wild and we're pretty excited. The name comes from the ballet, The Nutcracker Suite where the Sugar Plum Fairy danced.
