SANCTUARY It might be a good idea if we kicked-off with my explaining exactly what it is you're looking at. Sanctuary is a free-standing abstract, only with AMAZING depth. The reason for this lies in its construction. The piece is composed of twelve separate abstract creatures, or entities, each on its own stalk which are then mounted to a base plate. What makes it interesting is you can't really see them all at the same time. You have to move a bit. It's like watching a crowd at a bus stop. Even more interestingly, is Sanctuary is kinetic. Walk by it quickly, turn on a fan, or the A/C and Sanctuary wakes up to greet you, though very subtley.
